What to expect on a normal service visit

1.Test the water
Measures chlorine, pH, alkalinity, and often calcium hardness and stabilizer (cyanuric acid).

2.  Balance the chemicals
Adds chlorine, pH adjuster, alkalinity increaser, shock, or algaecide based on the test results—not a guess.

3.  Clean the pool

•  Empty skimmer and pump baskets

•  Skim leaves and floating debris

•  Brush walls, steps, and waterline (this stops algae from starting)

•  Vacuum the floor or check/clean a robotic cleaner

4.  Check the equipment
Confirms the pump is running, filter pressure is normal, water level is good, and there are no obvious leaks or odd noises. Backwashes the filter if pressure is high.
